Klausberg – your local mountain, 200 metres from the farm
The Klausberg gondola leaves from Steinhaus just 200 metres from the Bruggerhof. A few minutes later you are at the top: in the middle of the ski area in winter, in a hiking and family area in summer. Store your skis and bikes in our depot at the farm and leave the car parked.
Winter: skiing and sledging at Klausberg
The Klausberg ski area runs from 1,050 to 2,510 m above sea level, with around 46 km of slopes and 11 lifts, almost all of it covered by snowmaking. Freestylers will find the Funtaklaus snowpark at 2,400 m, with lines from beginner to pro. Off the slopes there are three sledging runs, including the 5.5 km Klausberg run. Klausberg is part of Skiworld Ahrntal, which also includes Speikboden. After a day on the slopes you ski straight back to your apartment.
Summer: hiking, biking and family fun
In summer the trails range from an easy walk to a hut you can reach with a pushchair to full summit tours. A favourite destination is the clear Klaussee lake. Families head for the Family Park at the top station with Dinoland, a water play world, a climbing wall, a balance course and a zipline. The Klausberg-Flitzer alpine coaster races 1.8 km down the mountain at up to 40 km/h and runs all year round. Mountain bikers will find routes from family tours to trails for experts.
