The Bruggerhof at Klausberg in Steinhaus in the Ahrntal valley is your ideal accommodation for a relaxing farm holiday in South Tyrol – right at the entrance to the Klausberg hiking and ski area. Surrounded by green meadows and with unobstructed views of the Zillertal Alps, five high-quality holiday apartments in the Ahrntal for 4–8 people await you – perfect for families, nature lovers and couples.
Our family-run farm is just 200 m from the valley station of the cable car – a true highlight for summer holidays in the Ahrntal and ski holidays in South Tyrol. Hiking trails, toboggan runs and MTB routes start right at the door, and you ski straight from the slopes to your apartment. Children love the contact with our animals, the large nature playground and the open space, while parents relax in our wellness area with sauna, bio sauna and whirlpool.
Breakfast basket, environment and personal contact
Every day (except Sundays) we treat you to a breakfast basket full of regional products – including fresh bread and cake from the local bakery and our own farm milk.
We care about the environment: the Bruggerhof uses renewable energy from hydropower and salvaged wood, separates its waste carefully and farms in a resource-conscious way, in harmony with nature.
Personal contact is our priority. Every guest receives an individual offer for the right apartment – no impersonal online booking, but real advice from your host family.

Farming
Experience real country life in the Ahrntal
Our farm in the Ahrntal has been run with passion for generations – today by farmer Wolfgang and his partner Julia, together with their two boys. The Bruggerhof is home to cows and calves, hardy Tyrolean mountain sheep and curious Boer goats, which live in the barn and on the meadows around the farm.
Our goats spend the summer months on the pastures right by the farm and are always happy to have visitors – especially our younger guests. Our farm cats never miss a guest's arrival and enjoy every cuddle.
Farm products & breakfast basket
Our guests can enjoy fresh cow's milk straight from the farm every day. The milk is collected daily and delivered to the Mila dairy, where it is turned into delicious South Tyrolean dairy products such as yoghurt and cheese – available in many local shops.
Breakfast basket on request: start your day with a lovingly prepared breakfast basket – with freshly baked bread and rolls from the local bakery, fresh milk from the farm and, on request, South Tyrolean specialities. Everything regional, homemade and carefully selected.
Farm garden & specialities
Depending on the season, berries, vegetables and herbs grow in our farm garden. Our herb bed is open to all guests – perfect for cooking with fresh flavours straight from nature. Depending on the time of year, the fruit trees around the farm bear raspberries, redcurrants, apples, plums, apricots, elderberries and more, which we turn into homemade jams and seasonal specialities.
Tip: ask us about traditional products from the Ahrntal, such as Graukäse (grey cheese) or homemade cured meats from neighbouring farms.
Location & surroundings
Central in Steinhaus – perfect for active holidays
In the heart of Steinhaus – and yet all on its own. Our farm lies at 1,050 m above sea level – quiet, yet right in the charming holiday village of Steinhaus in the Ahrntal. The farmhouse stands on its own, surrounded by flat meadows, right at the starting point of the Klausberg ski and hiking area. Your holiday begins right outside the front door – in every season.
Shopping, dining & arriving
Within a few minutes' walk you will find grocery shops, restaurants, bars, pizzerias and the bus stop – everything you need for a varied holiday. There is also an electric car charging station right at the farm entrance – for a sustainable arrival.
Getting around the valley – with the South Tyrol Guest Pass
With our free guest card, the South Tyrol Guest Pass, you can use buses and trains throughout South Tyrol free of charge. Simply leave your car behind and explore the Ahrntal comfortably and sustainably.
Active holidays right on the doorstep
Summer or winter: nearby you will find rental shops for mountain bikes, e-bikes, skis, snowboards and sledges. You can store your equipment safely in our lockable depot, which is heated in winter and has ski boot dryers.
Culture, nature & nightlife
For a dose of culture we recommend the Kornkasten mining museum in the historic centre of Steinhaus. Events, concerts and exhibitions take place all year round – and in the evening, bars, pubs and village festivals invite you to go out.
